Default How tall are you?

I am wondering how tall a person can be and still comfortably drive a C3, specifically a 77. What can a person do other than slide the seat back? Doesn't have to stay stock.

I am 6'2". If you really want some extra head room, look for a set of moon roofs or glass tops

I am 6'2".

I bought the car as a project already taken apart so i have never actually sat in it with steering, dash etc.

Lately i have been worrying about it more. The body is off and up in the air so i cant really get in and make myself feel good about it. I just keep thinking how terrible it would be to rebuild the whole thing and then not really be able to fit in it.
It's been weighing on my mind more as i sink more and more money into the project.

Are there seats that drop a person lower than stock seats? They seem to be pretty low already.

I'm 6'2 and torso-tall. I fit fine in my 78 as well as my friend's 77 I rode in many years ago.

You've got nothing to worry about unless you're 6'2 and have no legs to speak of whatsoever.

I'm 6'1" and I fit okay in a C3. I installed Toyota Celica seats, which sit just a bit higher, so I took the panels out of my T-tops to get me a bit more head room. It gave up to 2" of room, so that's a good option for taller guys.

Thanks for all the feedback, it has helped put my mind at ease.

I have one of the glass tops that came with the car. I hadn't really planned on using it, but it is good to know i could use it if i need some extra room.

6' 2" and I can fit in my 81 with a helmet on. The glass panels help a lot, as I don't think I could fit in a painted top car with a helmet.

We are a tall bunch around here! Or are the sub-6 people just not responding?

I am 6'2" and have no problems in my 73. I just had to master sitting down on the seat with my legs out the door, then turning to the right to get in. Normally I put a leg in and then my butt, then the other leg, but in the Vette it's butt first.

I'm 5'8" 175 lbs. and I have no problem. As a matter of fact I have to move the seat up to reach the pedals.

6'4" here. Tilt/Tele very helpful. No head issues -- never tried with a helmet on (yet). Getting in/out a challenge, like Backstop says.

I would like to see an instructional video of a 6'2" blonde model going in butt first, just to show the tall guys how to do it right.

I'm 5'11" and the 78 fits fine.In 81 or 82 they lowered the floor pan for the power seat you could do that as a last resort.
