Well I pulled my 69 Vert out this morning to clean it and start looking over my radio install (getting closer DB!). But something appears to be missing......
Where is the security system lock? It appears on my way home from Carlisle yesterday, it removed itself. Or perhaps (ironically) it was stolen? (Just my sense of humor here)
Looks like if I get back there this afternoon I'll be looking for a new lock. The system was not hooked up however. Does anyone have these hooked up anymore? I had to ask my dealer after I got the car home what is was to begin with. He said don't hook it up, probably doesn't work and is a pain anyhow. Now it really doesn't work.

If that lock is a difficult item to obtain, maybe it was "procured"....
Just bought my replacement from Corvette Central. Not terribly expensive. I must admit though, I wish mine fell out. I have no idea of how to remove the old one nor how to attach the new one.
My dealers thought it might of been "procurred" but my wife thinks she remembers it being on when we left (she is good at noticing that kind of stuff). So I think it vibrated loose. The back gate out of Carlisle has some rough road to it. It is not hard to replace and if you don't hook up the alarm, you can simply use a door lock in its place.
