I surely do love the gleam of fresh chrome headers and side pipes.

I have installed two pair on my own Vettes and helped someone else with their set.

They look GREAT man, good work.

That's all nice and stuff, but don't you find that chicks with miniskirts and highheels have difficulty stepping over side pipes????

Not if you help them get in, which is good for TWO reasons. A, you show them you are a gentleman and, B, you get to find out of she's wearing underwear or not.

Those look awesome. This is a future upgrade for my 69 as well. Let me ask you though, how hot do those pipes get? I've had people tell me that the stock side pipes (they are not smooth like yours - center pieces have the lines) are better for avoiding hot pipes. I like the smooth chrome look of those pipes. But with two little ones fighting for rides in the vette and a wife who will forget the pipes, I don't want to put on anything too hot. Probably a winter project for this car so I have some time.

not if you live in California and that includes all cars that originally came with catalytic converters. you can have the 'fake' ones that don't get hot. the sound just wouldn't be the same.
