I calculated this years ago for a friend with a '75 convertible. Came up with 235-60X15.
My local BFG guy, who puts tires on all seven of my vehicles, sells me T/A's in that size for about $90 each, mounted, balanced and tax included. And this is in the Los Angeles area!
Bring in a Tire Rack magazine ad. Their prices include shipping and there is no sales tax. I don't expect a local guy to match the price, but he should come down quite a bit from what some of you you guys have been quoting.
now im wondering what size would be best with stock wheels....
I had a '75 a few years ago and ran P255-60-15 BFG Radial T/As on stock steel wheels with trim rings and hubs. They looked good and road and cornered very well. No rubbing the frame anywhere either. Good luck with whatever you decide.
