Default Hurricane Gustav

I have to leave my 78 in ths carport of my house in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. 25 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. She flooded for Katrina/Rita. Here we go again. I have a boat garage with a large boat in it so the Vette is odd man out. I am evacuating and taking my 80 year old in laws with me. Thats all I can say about this for now. Wish us luck and prayers. I think this is going to be pretty bad flood wise.

The best of luck to you, the family , and the car. I live in Alabama and I'm worried about more rain. Can't imagine living on the coast. Take care...

Wow...must be really tough. I know family is always first, but I sure would to find a way to get it out of there too.

Hope everything turns out ok!

There's got to be some 16 year old you could pay to take it to higher
ground. Good Luck

Same here, gabags. Leaving 95 ZR1 and 64 vet behind. Gotta get the family out. Traffic is already bumper-to-bumper, leaving early in morning so its going to be a long day in traffic. Just hope its not as bad as Katrina!

Please don't take this the wrong way. Three years after Katrina and Rita and many people are still not prepared for a hurricane along the gulf coast.

I wish you and your family a safe trip and NO DAMAGE!!!!!!!! I live in Navarre Florida, about 1 mile from the Gulf of Mexico. I know what you are going through. My prayers are with you all.

A Vette can be replaced, take care of priority 1.

Wow,

Best of luck to all the evacuees. I'd certainly try to hire someone to drive my vehicles to higher ground. If that's all but impossible, I pray you have good insurance coverage.
Good luck and God speed to ya'll.
