I have chrome but stainless is the way to go you can always polish it
and it doesn't rust.

Stainless steel will get a little yellow looking at the start but can be polished up. I heat wrapped them near the motor to help keep the heat down in the engine compartment and help protect the plug wires.

Jet-Hot Sterling They seems to polish up pretty good and run cooler.

I think you should go with a flat black ceramic coating then get the stainless steel polished shields with the flags and "CORVETTE" cut out.

Maybe even coat the insides red, and coat them red behind the cut outs. That would be different for sure!

I've got stainless on mine and I love them. They will turn a little gold right before the collector, but it's not really a big deal to polish it out. The best thing about them is that it isn't a coating. It will never rust and it will never, EVER flake or chip off, which is almost a given with any other type after you drive a x amount of miles.

I've run it for a good hour at highway speeds and they'll be cool to the touch within 10-15 minutes.

Chrome can flake and rust
Jet Hot can flake and rust
Stainless cannot flake or rust.

You pick.
