Default Gaskets & such

I'm about to start the re-assembly on my 72 LT1. I have a few simple questions to solve future problems.

1. Should I use Teflom tape or some kind of RTV sealant when attaching the dual fuel lines to the carb?

2. I'm replacing the old fuel tank with a SS tank. Should I use RTV or other sealant on the neck gasket?

3. Should I use RTV on both sides of the coolant neck on top/front of engine?

4. Same questions for fuel pump installation: RTV on paper gasket?

Thanks. Exciting times ahead.

1. NO. No tape is needed on these fittings.

2. Would not hurt for a slight bit of RTV

3. I use a little. Just a thin film.

4. I use high tack gasket sealer on the paper ones like this. It is a spray adhesive that works well.

I don't recommend using RTV on any paper gaskets. Use a little wipe of Permatex on both sides...either the black gasket sealer or the Hi-Tack.

Thanks, guys. I'm not familiar with the hi-tack stuff. I'll check it out.
