For some reason, when I have my wipers on my left windshield wiper comes up and extends too far to the left of my windshield and gets stuck by the left window. I know that the wipers are the right size, it is just coming too far over. This is really important, because driving in the rain is a real pain. I have to keep my window down and every time the wiper gets stuck I have to reach out and get it free. Please help me.
BP,
If you have the original wiper arms you'll find a screw on the side of the arm that can be turned to help your adjustment problem. I believe the arm can only be put on the transmission post one way because there's a built-in key-way.
Regards,
Alan

There is also an adjustment at the wiper transmission.Loosen 2 nuts and it will slide allowing you to change the length a little.
Didn't mean to try and give bad information Bernie. I would have thought the wipers were just regular old GM type things. Sorry bout that, but at least I got to learn something also.
What year car do you have? On my 79 there is an adjustment on the wiper transmission inside the cowl area as you can only put the wiper arm on in one location due to a key way. I also installed a one inch shorter wiper one my driver side to help it clear the passenger blade and not hit the windshield window trim.
