Cupholder pictures
Here are some pictures of cupholders I intergrated into the center console armrest cushion. I picked up the cupholders at Walmart and cut off the frame which was made to screw onto a panel. Made a cut out on the back of the armrest (smaller than the size of the cupholder) and removed the foam. I used 3M adhesive spray to secure the cupholder in the cushion.

Thanks for all the response's. With all the help I've gotten from this forum in the last 2 years since I got my 82, I was happy to share something in return
400HP - I'm suprised I have seen your ride around - we're practically neighbors - I'm in North Merrick.
It was actually pretty easy to do. I figured the worst that can happen is I have to spend $40 on another cushion. Send me an email - I can pick up your console cushion to modify.
Sorry I didn't think about taking pictures until I finished. If I end up doing one for 400HP427vette I will take pictures along the way and post.
Had my first test today and it stayed in place. The cushion hold pretty tightly between the seats. I wouldn't use cup without a cover though...
