Yes, this one!
I've seen the poster in the past (and I'm still looking for it ).
I'm restoring my 69' Le mans Blue and I'm thinking about the idea to build a BFG car replica, so I need pics and info about this poster car!!!
- Hooker chromed side pipes
- Fixed headlights
- 427 hood
- Racing alu gas cap (cobra style?)
- American Racing Torque Thrust D (105) 15" rims???
- BFG Radial T/A tires off course!
This is the car that inspired me to buy my Corvette. I was at SEMA in '94, saw the poster and thought, "That's what I want." At the time I was considering Porsche 911 or 928S4. I'm sure you'll all agree I made the right choice.
BFG wanted the car painted in a special color...so it isn't the "standard" Le Mans Blue? Are the rims really American Racing TT D??
I can't find other info or pics
this is where you can order any of the posters or banners straight from BFG.

The guy who now owns the car lives out in Long Island, NY (well he bought it 2 years ago, not sure if he still has it) He said it has changed colors since then (its red now not blue)

That prompts a big What the huh? From me.. Why would anyone paint that car a different color? It is a unique color, not stock lemans blue, special for that poster.. why change it?
Are you sure? Video says it was originally red, then painted blue by BF Goodrich. Can't believe anyone would buy it and put it back to stock. ahh.. was repainted red but then the owner restored it to it's condition as a BFG promo car.
Also, looks like L-88 hood and something on the headlights... fixed headlights with clear racing headlight covers?
Racing gas tank filler cover on rear deck.. Hood pins at the front (windshield) end of the hood..
There is an NCRS info sheet on the dash, so looks to me like the car was on display and video was taken at an NCRS meet.

Great idea!! As far as replicas go, shouldn't be that hard because all the mods are cosmetic. Getting the paint color right may be tricky... and expensive!
Also, I have never seen one, so you got that going for you too.

I agree...the biggest problem will surely be the paint code
Any idea?

NY license plate: BFG CAR
Watching the vidoes, thats Frank, the owner I know. It even says in the video that when he bought it it was red, he returned it to blue.
He bought some AC stuff and factory sidepipe covers off of me for another vette he has.

That's not what he said, he said, "It started out Monaco Orange and BF Goodrich decided to paint it blue" He then said it toured the US and ended up in Hawaii for 5 years then wound up in California and thats when he got the car.
He never said it was red and he returned it to blue? I don't see how you heard him say "He" returned it to blue it sounds like it has been blue since BF Goodrich did the car?
