Any pictures under the hood?

Let me know if I can help, be glad to try.

David
I`ll add some pic`s of under the hood on my photo bucket account.

Dad say`s the numbers are:

VIN:1946785409935

MOTOR:185409935 VI2I2HF

Trim Tag:f24
983 paint

Thanks again-Tony

I'm not picking on you but going to let you know that the Vin number 5 as in the 854 is a S as in 8S4 and the S stands for the plant the car was built in which is or was St Louis Missouri.
Body build date = January-68-24th, Paint 983 = British Green
You guys might try to look the paint job over and try to see if maybe the guy or gal that painted it back when ever, may have signed it or placed name or signuture on it some where.
Didnt Jimmy Hendrix try to drive a vette once?

The numbers match; she has her original engine. The code is HE not HF for the base engine with manual transmission.

Congratulations.

:
We have looked for the signature before but havent found it anyplace that we thought it would be. The car has this crazy paint in the door jambs and on the firewall as well so it might be in one of these spots once dad gets it totally striped.Anything that would be painted on a vette has these colors!!

Thanks for the decoding, you guy`s are cool in my book.

Are you talking about my 27-T coupe?

'29, '27 whatever it takes. Before I retire I want an old hot rod but it's gotta have a top. Your '27 has the right look as it sits.

Thanks, I need to finish it up someday. Everything on the car is pre 1965 except for the five speed.
I also have a 40 Ford sedan with a chopped top but I just never could get into the way it looked so I recently bought a coupe body now I just have to go to Texas and pick it up!!

It really is a decent car and it runs good too. I think the carb is going to need a kit but Dad has a Edelbrock at the moment....who would have thought a car could run so good with an Edelbrock?
