Until I started buying Optima batteries, I was a big fan of the Oreilly house brand batteries. They seemed to last me longer than Wal-Mart and Autozone batteries. My Durango, with it's stereo, has a knack for killing batteries fast. The Oreilly brand lasted the best until Optima...and now I have gone the longest I have ever been on one battery.
These are V8 cars and need a good battery. On my '70 I have a Interstate at about $80 -get 850 CA Cranking amps and 650 CCA cold cranking amps -- at least. You don't need an optima but don't get the cheapest either.
If you are looking to save some $$$, go the Wal-Mart way. At least, they honor their warranties. I would NEVER buy anything from Auto-Zone (I've seen the kind of junk they sell).
