Posting attachments?
Just curious, but would anyone out there know why I am unable to post attachments. I've been a member of this forum for eight years now.

If you are looking to post pictures, go to a picture-hosting website (I used Photobucket.com). You create a (free) account, then proceed to upload pictures from your computer to the website. After they're uploaded click/copy-paste the link with the [IMG] tags around it and then paste those in a thread/post that you want to post the pictures in.

What is it you want to attach that you can't? You can post all the pics you want...you can even upload them to your album, and you can link to all kinds of sites that have information.

When you post pictures from a host, copy/paste the [IMG] to actually paste the picture into your post. A lot of people get lazy and just post the URL link and the reader has to go find the picture.

if you want to post something like a spreadsheet or a document or a file hosted by the forum, then yes, you have to be a supporting member... or you can use other services and point to them, like so many folks do here for pics, then when you reference it, it just goes to the service and loads the file..99.9% of the time it is just pics so use photobucket or some service like that..

THis is so weird. Sometimes it will let me post image links, sometimes it won't. Right now, it won't. The InsertImage button is there but once I paste in the image URL and click OK, it will just bring me back to the reply screen wth nothing.

So just don't use that button. Paste the raw links into the post like normal text.
