Damn you Bubba!!!!!
Today I started ripping out the dash to replace some burnt out bulbs and try and track down my A/C blower motor problem. Low and behold! Theres at least 6 electrical connections that are disconnected. Some of them are obvious, like the clock and cigarette lighter but others are a mystery as of now. So I climbed around under the hood and found 3 more broken/disconnected electrical connections!!! Holy Crap Bubba!! You done me baaaad this time.
Anyways, just another day in the life of another Bubba'd up corvette owner.
At least it gives me something to do lol

when i got mine, the owner told me the car had all sorts of electrical problems.. alt was bad, batt had a drain, all sorts of things.. 2 fuses were bad. that was it! hopefully a few of your vettes mysteries have been solved
He feels he does his BEST work in the dark.

yeah, this is definately on my list once I sell the '92 and free up some money. I'd rather know it was done right than try and cobble it all back to together.
I bought all new harness' from LL
What a maroon.
In peeling back the carpet to repair some of his work on the pass side floorboard and heater core area, i found the s.o.b. kludged together the oil pressure connection behind the dash and ... yup, you know what I'm about to say.
Now I know why the radio doesn't work either (what did Newton say about discovering gravity?)
Like Ralph Kramden used to threaten his wife, "To the MOON, Alice!! To the MOON!"
If I ever ....

anyways, tools are on the way to hawaii, and i have to leave my vette in texas for the time in there. while im there though, i expect to have the horn rewired, fuse block fixed, new wiper switch installed... and all other bubbas corrected to at least be less bubba'd. dont have the money to throw into it right now for only seeing it for 2 months in the next two years.
on the other side though, i dont expect to be selling this car anytime soon

Sorry, dude, but you are a Bubba. You are just in denial. Don't feel too bad, I'm one too, but I'm working on it. That's right, my name is Scott, and I'm a Bubba. I'm in a 12 step program, right now I'm at the point where I have to go around and make amends to all the people who's stuff I Bubba'd in the past. If you are a Bubba, and want to change, here are the 12 steps to recovery. But first, you have to admit to yourself that you are a Bubba.
1. Admit that you are powerless over being a Bubba—that your mechanical ability has become unmanageable, Bubba.
2. You must believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity, Bubba.
3. Make a decision to turn your will and your mechaninal ability over to the care of God as you understand Him, Bubba.
4. Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself, and your mechanical ability, Bubba.
5. Admit to God, to yourself, and to another human being the exact nature of your wrongs, Bubba.
6. Be entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character, Bubba
7. Humbly ask Him to remove your shortcomings as a mechanic, Bubba.
8. Bubba, make a list of all persons you have harmed by bubba-ing up there stuff, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others, Bubba.
10. Continue to take personal inventory and when you are wrong promptly admit it, Bubba.
11. Seek through prayer and meditation to improve your conscious contact with God as you understand Him, praying only for knowledge of His Will for us and the power to carry that out, Bubba.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, try to carry this message to other Bubbas, and to practice these principles whenever you are working on anything mechanical, Bubba.
Scott
