Default Wiper overide switch

How is the **** removed? This would be the switch between the headlamp and wiper door overrides.

Thanks

You should be able to pull the **** right off...but be careful not to pull at it on an angle or you can crack the collar

Hi Jim,
I believe the **** is a 'slip' fit, like old radio/tv ***** were. No set screw.
Dr.Rebuild has the switches; sit down, no, lay down before you read the price of the NOS switch. The replacement is 1/5th the price. But, your car deserves ONLY THE BEST, right?
Regards,
Alan

Hi 400/427,
You made me look on this one!!!
I believe the 68-72 ***** didn't have the SS center and set screw the Corvette America **** shows. The one they show is either a service replacement or a reproduction.
Now it certainly is a suitable replacement and the difference only matters to people like me that have nothing better to do than go look at the car in the basement.
Regards,
Alan

I dont think they did. I see Corvette Central sells a 70 and later ****/switch as a replacement for 68-69, as it seems they are discontinued.

An NOS on ebay is $250.

Jim71Vette,

Both of my '71's ***** do not have any type of set screw arrangement for attachment. It looks to be a press on fit.
