Hi Everyone! My '81 is leaking coolant from what appears to be around the water pump. It only leaks when the car is off. When the car is running no leaks what so ever but as soon I turn off the engine coolant leaks. It's not a heavy flow of coolant just constant drips for 10 minutes or so. I've tried to find the source of the leak with a mirror but I can't seam to locate it. From what I've read on this forum I think it might be coming out of the weep hole but I'm unsure since I can't find the source. Does anyone out there have any suggestions or have had this same thing happen to them? Thank you in advance!
can't see weep hole, pulley most likely covering it. Weep hole is on underside of snout of water pump, if seal goes bad it goes out shaft and drips. Only drips when engine off and pressure is there.

I just replaced my water pump with a Flow Cooler and the instructions said it might leak from the weap hole during the first few run ins untill the seal is seated. It's leaked twice so far but I've only driven it a few miles since the install. I do wish they said how long to expect this to happen though, because the fan sprays it all over the hood!
