Chuck has kindly agreed to do a C3 wheel for me in 1974 oxblood. I sent it off to him today. Years ago he did a 1979 wheel for me that remains pristine to this day.
Paul and Gordon,
Thanks again for the nice words. While I am not a supporting member on the forum I still like to offer the members a discount on the wheels that we offer.

So, how did it turn out? Pics?
Finally got mine pulled and shipped it yesterday. Looking forward to its return.

It took Canada and USA Post some two weeks to get it to Chuck. So much for "expedited" mail. But he has it and I look forward to receipt. But it will not be installed this year: my car goes into commercial storage on Thursday.
Hamma - do you know the diameter of that wheel? I have the original on my 68 but I'd like a smaller diamater for a little more leg clearance and thicker to fit my hands better.

This is the wheel your looking for
Smaller than stock and a nice beefy leather wrap to clamp your hands to
I sent my wheel off a couple weeks ago and just got it back a couple of days ago.Had it custom wrapped and embroidered by Mr.Don Le of Dallas Custom Steering Wheel."Great Man,Great Quality,Great Service".
I just bought the $99 leather wheel from Mid America and received it this week. It looks terrific and the price was right. The spokes are polished aluminum.
I gave it to my wife to give to me at Christmas so I haven't actually installed it. I am installing it on a '73 and it looks like it is 1" smaller in diameter.
chuck did mine (79) last dec. excellent job. i just did an exchange and sent my old back in the box.
He too was going to do mine in two tone without the "corvette" script , but right before,he stopped production on my year model. He did say he would contact me when he resumed.I was ready to spend the dough and wasn't willing to wait.Mr.Don Le was able to tackle the project to my specs "Corvette" Script and two tone leather wrap.
Thanks to those who sent me PM's on their steering wheel. We can usually turn the wheels around in just a couple of days. We can also use different leather to match your interior. We use a very thin piece of rubber under the leather to make it a much user friendly feel.
Regards,
Chuck

Hi Steve,
We have one standard for our quality of steering wheels and it is all show quality. Never had anyone get any deductions as we are using factory matched leathers, original GM cores and the leather is die cut from original GM patterns and then hand sewn. The rubber behind the leather is also new and will not break down like the original wheels. We have been supplying these to all the major dealers for the past 20+ years. I know of no other company that can meet our quality and prices. I am not a supporting member and should not quote you a price on this thread, but if you PM me with the color, I will respond with a very attractive quote that will be much less than retail. I know that you have an 1982 but need to know if it is a collector edition.
