No. That is a guy named Valla. Happened about two years ago at Englishtown, Raceway Park. BTW - Grandsport's car is a vert, the car in the vid is a coupe as yellow 72 said.

Did they ever determine what actually happened?What broke?Why did the LR tire leave so much rubber behind..did it break traction or lock up?It appeared to go flat after the car was stopped.

I can't answer any of those questions. He got back to the track at the Corvette Challenge race on Sept 20. I saw him make a high 8 second pass. I think that was his first time out since the crash.

Thanks.......I must have watched that vid a dozen times.Looked like something besides driver error was going on....the nose took 2 dives,LR tire was laying down rubber,power still on but sounded restricted and then a dart to the left.Sure didnt sound like a car that was just out of the groove.Guess you had to be there.
