Default 68 Front bumper bracket dust shield fasteners

I am looking for the fasteners that attach the front bumper bracket dust shield to the inner fender. I have what I believe to be original fasteners but have lost a few and I would like to replace them. I called a few of the suppliers for C3 but some say they were stapled, another said it was glued. My fasteners are about 1/2" to 3/4" wide and about 1 1/2" to 2" long, rectangular in shape, two cut out areas top and bottom of a center plug that pushes through the inner fender. Any help or pictures would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
I really can't get a clear picture in my mind of the fastener you're describing. I do believe though, that the same wire staples that were used elsewhere in the engine compartment to fasten seals to the inner fenders were used on the bumper bracket dust seals as well. I believe that early 68's had wire staples on the A-Frame dust seals too.
Regards,
Alan

Looking for any input on how these are removed and re installed.
Who has done it?

SORRY, POSTED ON WRONG (old) THREAD

Isn't it great that your '68 has one-off parts that other later C3 cars don't use...

As Alan said, on later years, like my '71, wire staples were used to attach such pieces.

I saw elsewhere in the forum that they might have been called Robbins Clips and were also used as C1 radiator support seal clips. I found them on this Dutch site:
https://www.corvetteparts.nl/product...l-clip-set-62/

Good luck - hope this helps
