Edit: Michel B, is your an afermarket exhaust of some kind? My pipes also go under the leaf spring but I thought that was not stock.[/QUOTE]
The tubing is 2.5inches, its nothing special, they where manufactured and installed at the local mister muffler. The tips on the other hand are manufactured out of 304 stainless .080. The original pipes do go under the spring, there is realy no other way to route them. I did not pay very much attention to the way they meet the mufflers as I will never install the spare tire tub.
I just lifted these from an active Ebay auction today - they really made the car stand out. I never disliked '73s or anything, but I find that I like them better and better over time. It may be the best way for me to get back into a really nice chrome bumper-tailed car without breaking the bank...
I know I have some pics of a nice original paint silver/black deluxe interior 454 4 speed that Valley Auto had 2-3 years ago. I stopped by there on the way back from an Oldsmobile show in Bedford , PA and looked around a bit. I'll try and find those in my many photo CDs and post them.
