Default 69 fan

i just bought a69 roadster with a 350 300 hp 4 spd car did this car come with a fan clutch? bcause i hear alot of fan noise when rpm at 25 to 3000 .

Yes, all 69's were equipped with a fan clutch and they will make noise when fully engaged.
Will yours still spin freely when engine off and cold or is it locked up solid?

Default fan clutch

yes fully locked when off . All i see is a spacer

Ah OK, then somebody got rid of the clutch and used the spacer instead.
I would get rid of it and get the correct clutch. They cost a few bucks but is worth it.
Might want to bring the fan with you to the parts house since the fan could also have been changed.
Some guys will use a solid spacer when they put their cars in parades as it does help prevent low speed overheating,
but for normal use to be locked up solid is costing you power and fuel economy not to mention the noise.
