Default Fiberglass replacement

My 77 took a little hit last night... long story short I need a new front surround (door to door front end).

I'm looking around and it looks like both Ecklers and Vanacor have what I would need. Does anyone have any experience with Vanacor and the quality of their parts? Are there other vendors that offer a superior product? So far I like the price of Vanacor...

Hi Matt,
Are you thinking of using a one piece front end or a original style front end assembled with bonding strips?
Regards,
Alan

Send a PM to bvectra-- he had a full front clip that he wanted reasonalble $$ for.

Past that, I just got a hood from Vanacor. Quality is excellent. Even fits pretty good. Not quite perfect, but the original hood wasn't perfect either...

I was thinking of going with a 1-piece. It's a lot cheaper and I don't care too much about originality

yeah its usually hit or miss with vancor.....i've gotten a rear and front bumper from ecklers....Honestly, I don't like ecklers at all....but they sell good glass pieces (from my experience)........compare the prices for ecklers (with shipping) to corvette images and go from there man.

good luck!

I'd look at the one piece front ends made by ACI if you aren't after press molded front end.

Will do. I think corvette image only makes press molded pieces so it would cost over 4k.

A related question... My entire radiator and all of its supports are shifted over about a half inch. Does this mean that my front frame extensions are bent?

Matt, The CI catalog still shows that Jerry makes hand laid front ends for around $1,300 and I would not have any issues using his hand laid stuff. It is possible that the extensions got bent, you'll know as soon as you start taking it apart.
