I plan on rebuilding my A/C system including the replacement of my compressor, accumulator, orifice valve, hoses, o-rings, etc.
I have received some great info from this forum and I have the tools to do the job.
Question: The accumulator bottle is below and aft of the coolant reservoir and seems more difficult get out than it initially seemed.
I have read about removing the accumulator after removing the coolant reservoir and also have read about removing the accumulator out the wheel well after the wheel well filler panel is removed.
Can anyone give me their experience on how they removed this item (out the top or out the wheel well)?
Removing the wheel well filler panel sounds difficult and removing the coolant reservoir doesn't look like it will provide enough room to reach all the mounting fasteners and sliding the accumulator out the top.
If you look under the car by the front of the rocker molding there is a splash shield. You have to loosen the molding to get it out . Then you can see the dryer . You can use a crows foot wrench to take of the hose from the compressor and a short wrench to remove it from the evap core. A lift really helps

Thanks Jake. I do have a lift. I'll take a look as you suggested. I guess I'll have to remove the rocker panel molding but that doesn't look too difficult as it seems to be just a few screws.
