Reason: a
car had sat for probably a little over a month after being painted and before the decals were put on. The installer did clean the surface and actually did not use any liquid when installing the graphics. If the paint were still gassing would it not also cause bubbles in the graphic?
Jake is calling Phoenix Graphix today, for those that do not know of them they have been a supplier of graphics for cars for years. They really specialize in the Trans Am Graphics and make the reproduction "Super Chickens" for the hoods as well. They do make the reproductions for Corvettes, 78 SA and Pace Car and I think the stripes for the later model two tones. They are a authorized by GM and have made graphics for cars in several movies. I believe their products would be superior to NOS and I have never read anything but good results from them. I am sure there must of just been an issue with the ones I got and that they will stand behind their product.
We will see what they tell Jake today, the only thing that sucks is I now have the car in Houston and will need to find a good installer in this area. Any suggestions?

Where did you get your graphics? It did sit for a month before installing. I really think there was an issue with the set I got. Again Let me know where you got yours.
I called and talked to Justin at Phoenix Graphics today. The guy was very nice and knowledgeable about the decals and installation process. He said it could be a million things that caused the decals to curl and come up at the edges.
His company recommends waiting a month before applying decals to new paint. He stated that not properly cleaning the surface before installation could cause the corners to come up, using too much solution could cause the corners to come up, touching the corners of the decals with your fingers upon installation could break down the glue and cause the corners to come up, and a lot of other factors that could come into play.
I emailed him pictures of the decals which were peeling and he said he would look at them and get others in the shop to check them out and see if they can figure out what went wrong. He did say that they would give a discounted price on the replacement decals if we ended up going that route. Justin was very nice and offered the discount on the replacements without me even asking.
The guy was extremely helpful and was very nice. I'm waiting on his reply email after he gets some second opinions from around the shop as to the reason why this happened.
