I like the look of low cars, but not the slanted rear wheels or rim choice you have. If I were you I would have customized the rear wheel wells and maybe added some flares to make room for the wheels without the slant. I would also buy some better looking wheels for the appearance your trying to get. I think the ones you have kind of look cheap, I would go with some coys. Can't wait to see the end result. Keep up the good work. Also are you gonna go with some sidepipes? That would look tight!
Wow that looks fricken sweet! I have been doing Air Ride for years and have been playing with the idea of build ing a set up for the vette. I woul dlove to see the way uyou mounted the bags and especially the tank.
While I've always been a Corvette lover I'm a Hot Rod guy at heart and I enjoy looking at what these cars can be when they are "rodded". This thing looks great and I can't wait to see it completed. I have to tell you I think it even looks hot at ride height.
well first off, you really can't do anything about the rear wheels cambering in... it's IRS it will do that, my wheels... well i'm thinking about going with an 18/20 combo in the Boyd Coddington "Harm" wheel... gonna do some renderings to see what it will look like...
thanks for the support in this project guys... i was actually thinkin the corvette guys were gonna lynch me for this... as i am an avid "Mini-Trucker" at heart (i own one and have built quite a few)
as for that "bolt in" air ride system for the c3 vette... all i can say is "meh" all my stuff is 100% fabricated from scratch, using as much stock componets as i could... the bags and air management syestem you get with that kit look pretty cheesy... my car was sponsored by Air Lift Company in Lansing, MI. and has all "top of the line" bags and air management
Just a thought for you - if you're going with a staggered tire/wheel fitment consider 19s and 20s. It would be easier to keep the sidewall profile equal front and rear or slightly taller in the rear. I don't know about you but it drives me crazy when the front tire has a taller sidewall the the rear and you can tell.

yea i agree with you there... idk tho 19s are pretty expensive in the tire catagory... who knows i don't even know if the 20s are going to look good or not, i'm about 50/50 on it... a friend is letting me borrow the 20s of his S10 to see what it'll look like this weekend
He's a member here but I cannot recall the name. Again, I respect his hard work and I respect his opinion because he built what he likes...I am just not a fan a C3 being THAT low to the ground, and the rims are just a lot bigger than I prefer.
they're colorado custom ledville wheels... (and they're for sale )
and yes if all goes according to plan it should be done for the detroit autorama next spring
if i didn't have my cragers i'd buy yours in a heartbeat. lookn forward to seeing your vette completed at autorama in feb.

Got any pics of your setup?
I'm curious, you'd have to go with a telescoping halfshaft or solid axle or you'd pull the halfshaft clip right out when you went to raise the car.
I appreciate what you're doing. I appreciate when anyone is willing to put some elbow greese into something to get what they want. Would love to see some pics of your setup underneath.
well, hydros for one...
2 the JDM mufflers...
rubberbands for tires
everyone and their mother has those rims (at least in the mini truck world)
i could keep going... but i won't
i do appreciate his work, don't get me wrong... i appreciate anyone who goes above and beyond to make their car their own... there's just alot of things i personally don't like with that car
