bleeding dry system
looking for some help.i am trying to bleed the brakes on my 73.right now the car has just had 4 dry calipers mounted and a new master cyl and booster.i dont't have the motor in yet so there is no vac presure yet.i capped the check valve because i wasn't getting any fluid to calipers when we pumped up with the valve open.i have put a qt of fluid in so far and am now getting fluid to all four corners.problem is 1 front caliper seems to have blown a seal.i will take off tomorrow.so my ?'s are.1 does anyone have any idea of the fluid capacity?2has anyone tried gravity bleeding.and how is this done correctly?or last should i just wait till i drop the motor in.i wanted some brake pedal so that i could safely move the car around my garage.thanks in advance for any help.

Do a search on brake bleeding and you'll find many, many threads with plenty of advice on the subject. The suggestion above about starting at the front works well, and seems to make the job easier because you will have a firm pedal sooner, making bleeding the rears easier.
Cheers,
Pete
1. Bleed master cylinder.
2. Bleed in the following order:
Left rear inner
Left rear outer
Right rear inner
Right rear outer
Right front
Left front
I've always bled the right rear first, then gone to the left and have had no problems with it, but the chassis and service manual says to begin with the left rear.
A power bleeder would be a big help and worth the cost.
