Default seafoam

hey guys, getting ready to put a 65 mustang away from the winter, I know sorry guys haha, should I put the seafoam in the gas tank and run it for 5-10 mins or just dump it in the tank and leave it till spring. Also is it a good Idea to fill up the tank before storage to prevent condinsation or not. thanks everybody

I would suggest reading the bottle to see if it is a good fuel stabilizer for long term storage. Stabil is a good product you can use for that. Either way, run the car a bit after the additive is in the gas so you know it's all the way to the top.

I, having several cars that sit a lot, have had real good results with Sta-bil. I have used Sea Foam when I neglected to use Sta-bil.

So be proactive and use a stabilizer with a full tank, and you won't need the Sea Foam.

I use SeaFoam as a fuel stabilizer in my boat and it works very well. I always run the motor to get the mixture into the lines and carbs.

I'm pretty sure Sea Foam can be used exactly as Sta Bil advertises it is used for, but check the label just to be sure.

Seafoam is a fuel additive to clean the engine.
Stabil keeps the fuel from breaking down while sitting for several months.

You want to use Stabil for this application, not Seafoam.

Sea Foam is also a fuel stabilizer. See their website for more info. As I've already said, it works very well for that purpose in my boat which is stored for 6 months or more at a time. I've used Stabil as well and it works but I prefer Sea Foam

SEA FOAM website

When fuel stabilization and engine fogging is needed – fuels of today become stale in less than thirty days. Therefore, stabilization and engine fogging are needed when vehicles, lawnmowers, snow blowers, outboard motors, chainsaws, motorcycles, gas in cans and engines are put into storage.

Your service technician can provide fuel stabilization and engine fogging services with SEA FOAM MOTOR TREATMENT.

Food for thought:

It may be just a coincidence, but I put Seafoam in my '71 and a day later the tank was leaking all over the place. There were some really nice rust pinholes that I found once I pulled it out. Looks like the tank may have been sealed at one time and the Seafoam ate through it and exposed the holes. Of course, the tank should have been replaced anyway, but I wasn't expecting to change it at that moment.

This is nonsense. Fuel will survive the 5-6 months of winter very easily.
