I have a 1978 vet that I bought as a basket case. Much of the front suspension is missing. I have found used suspension for C4 and C5 corvettes but very few C3 suspensions. I would like to know if the C4 or C5 suspensions are better suspension than the C3 and if the C4 or C5 will fit in my 78 without any problems or alterations.
Yes the C4 and C5 are better. They will not fit your car without major modifications. C3 parts are quite easy to come by. Check the Corvette junkyards or ebay and sometimes they pop up here. You can always buy new from the vendors here on the forum also.
the Corvette has only become more renowned as the years drift by. Undergoing many changes and restyles as any other vehicle will over the years, the Corvette has experienced new engines, transmission, chassis, features, body colors and so much more. Starting with a 235 cu-in 6-cylinder engine, the Corvette has since switched to a V8 with a horsepower that is improving each year. Over the years, the Corvette has also been offered in different trim models, the hardtops, coupes, convertibles, ZR-1s and Z06.
