Default torque on monospring mount plate

What should i torque the mount plate bolts for a fiberglass mono spring from VBandP, factory spec seems like it might be a bit high for fiberglass

going off memory, it was 40 or 45Lbs. it should be on the installation sheet that came with the spring.

Torque specs sheet from VBP :

http://www.vbandp.com/instructions/h...specsR0102.htm

They only list specs for tightening the steel spring, which is 70ft lbs. I guess the composite spring torque must indeed be in the instructions and my guess is that is is a bit less than 70.

The mounting pads are some type of plastic and could probably crack or crumble if overtightened.

Let me know what you find out. If in doubt: 727 345-5292 (VBP)
