Default Sidepipes on fleabay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=110300274083

Has anyone had any experience or heard anything about these sidepipes. The price seems too good. There are quite a few for sale.
Hope I don't get slammed for the link..

Does he specify a brand? Good price, they will probably work fine, but I wouldn't put money on that coating lasting very ling before rust comes through.

That's not too high. Curt and I shipped his old headers and pipes to a guy who bought them and it was over $90 for just the shipping. Luckily we used the boxing and packaging that his new ones came in or it would have been over $100 after materials.

Shipping for a business is a lot less then a private person...

for Example, my buddy owes a shop, I have shipped big items that would have cost over $100 to ship.. through my buddy it runs about $23

Is this Len's Vette? Paranoid?

He has it as an example in the auction, 3rd down from the top, under the orange Vette on the lift.

that's a really good price for sure! If you get them be sure to post some pics and let us know how they are... I would really like to get a set of these in black for my 72.

Be wary of his feedback. 3 negatives in the last month......

Good luck,

Ad says stainless.
Looks like a coating to me.
The headers are seamed together.
He calls them 5 inch collector, but they are 4 inch.
The side tubes look like chrome Hooker, but the headers look like they jigged it up in their home garage.
Price is fair, but I'd be leary about the fit and quality of the headers.

Who made them? Brand?

SB headers is not self service obviously but your normal abbrevation for small block. The rest is correct, NOT recommended!

JKust look at the quality of the headers, those are ugly looking collectors and primaries with grounded welds on the pipes... you get what you pay for indeed,

I bought these same sidepipes about a month ago. They are not made by hooker, but seem to fit fine. Look at this thread I made. It should help you out alot! http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...064&highlight= I think in the end I would recemend them.

I found the hooker headers in chrome, and the hooker tubes in chrome on ebay new in box. $650 shipped to my door. Plenty in stock. I see this set up for $475 + $110 shipping. I don't know who makes them. If I did'nt have angle plug heads I would go with the hookers. I tried contacting this seller, no answer. company.

I've got angle plug heads with Hooker sidepipes. I think it depends on which heads you have.

Do a search on the subject, if the search feature is working there should be quite a few threads on the subject.

I haven't had any trouble with the coating. It looks stainless to me on the headers and the pipes, although the ebay page said it was hpc coating.
