Frame question
I am doing some frame repair (The tin worm ate some of my frame near the number 2 driver mount). Question, I noticed the frame has a vertical weld bead several inches behind the front cross member; Is that weld supposed to be there, or was a new back half frame welded to my frame??

Hi MP,
On my 71's frame there are 2 vertical beads of weld on the outside of the frame a couple of inches in front of and to the rear of the center line of the a-arm. They are only about 2 inches long and are in the center of the frame vertical height . They seem to be the result of securing a reinforcement inside the frame member.
