Default My winter storage

Its that time soon and my summer storage space is going to be occupied by the owner. Thats how it was last winter from November to april last year but.......... my car was getting ''half'' a restoration so it was at a friends body/mechanical shop and storage was not a concern for 11 months. I did have a second gararge secured from Nov to April last year and this year. Heck........ I even gave the guy half the money for five months up front because he was letting me use the gararge insted of his friend ,who happens to own a c5 I am paying $50 a month for either place......not bad but wish it was cheaper, thats less money to spend on the vette.

That has all changed now..........
My close Uncle John has purchased a small town Saab dealership that was forced by the corprate manufacturer To remodel HEAVILY or be bought out and moved to a larger modern dealership 1 town over.
Well guess what the owners of 25 years did?..... shut the lights off and put a for sale sign and my uncle scooped it up to compliment his auto body business. Used cars, muscle cars, car rental, auto repair all in one building a half dozen blocks from his body shop

Showroom..... Uncles 68 vert 327/4 speed and his close friends 79 ORIGINAL 28,000 mile, 1 owner car. like new and clean

Wow!! That is going to be a great place to keep the vettes. Plus, what a great shop to work on vettes. Nice purchase by your uncle. Is he planning on moving his other business to this set of buildings?

Thanx..... no, the two will be and operated independantly of each other but the dealership will allow my uncle to keep his auto repairs for his body shop ''in house'' 9 out of 10 cars that go through his body shop get an alignment and some that are hit heavy need mechanical work, and almost all need a rental car. so now my uncle will be able to do it all...............only...........from 2 seperate buildings within a half mile of each other

Boy that's a GREAT looking old building from the outside.
AND a FABULOUS 'car guy' building inside.

Wow Wow Wow thats nice.
I hope you guys dont have issues with the fire dept.Years ago I was looking at a similar building but someone else got it.The new owner was told that he could no longer park vehicles in the showroom due to gasoline being the tanks. The previous dealer was grandfathered in.Something about the drain system.Maybe you guys will be ok because there are no drains.

Sweet Garage! I think the old Facade could be used to make it a retro-feel showroom- right out of the 60's. Take the retro and run with it. Old style graphic stencil car pictures, old movie ads, etc. There is plenty of new, modern stuff being built everyday. Use that unique building to set yourselves apart.
Nice work on the apron/entrance!

Thanx for the compliment on the ramp.............
Feeling it today...the vette sat in the driveway today, thats how sore I am I do have a 60/70's nastolgic theme floating around in my head for the show room and a good friend thats been painting signs for years and said he could come up with a great idea for the walls. I would like to get a ''New'' old gas pump for the room and some nastolgic neon signs
