Heres my DD not a vette. What you see was done with a harbor freight $14.99 hvlp spray gun and a gallon of ss pure white from eastwood and the graphics were from pep boys with the aid of a razor blade.

BASF primer and base, the color is a special color from their line called Carizzma but we used Sikkens clear. I just like their clears more than BASF they cover better and seem to have deeper harder finish and they dont have a yellow tint like a lot of clears do.

for a solid non-metallic color..PPG Concept is the way to go...Concept also makes a clear in which you can mix color and clear 1:1 and spray it on top...beautiful! Looks better than base/clear IMO.

Ok, I just want to do some under hood dress. I am considering single stage paint, torch red. There will be very little exposure to the outside elements. Yes, or no for single stage?
