Default Help!!!!!!! Lighter does not work

Re assembling my dash and console and got it back together and it looks like I am missing a wire for the lighter, is there two, I found one orange one and the night light for it, also have the light for the auto shift and the heater light. If there is another wire it is not in this harness that runs with these wires, would it be behind the gauges?
Nite lights for the auto shiftand lighter do not work but work for the heater, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your profile is not filled out so we have no idea what year your Vette is.

Do you have an AIM for your car or any electrical diagrams? If I knew what year you have I might be able to look at the few AIMs I have for the answer to your question.

The lighter has one large gauge orange wire to it. The grounding is provided by the steel frame it is mounted in. You don't use it....of course?

Make sure your ground wire is connected to the heater control unit. There is only one wire for the cigarette lighter.

It is grounded through the shift console plate to the heater control mounting bracket to the heater control unit.
