"Hells Angels'69"...movie vette??????
I am in the quest for the history of my 68,and I am the 4th owner. The 3rd owner is deceased, and I got the car from his daughter. The 2nd owner, and the builder that showed the car in the ISCA is a Jim Molino. The same Jim Molino that owned, and built the famous 23 T bucket "Candyman".He bought my car in 69,or 70 from the Hells Angels he said, and they had already modified the car,but he redid the car,and had famous custom painter Mike Farley paint the car,and Tommy the Greek pin strip it.
The car in the movie is a coupe it looks like, and mine is a convertible, but there are ALOT of similairities between the 2 cars.
Jim Molino, and I have been talking, and he is suppose to have a book on all the cars that he has built, including mine, but curious if anyone has additional pictures of the 68/69 from the movie, knows any history,or can post a clip from the movie here.
My car is called "La Costa Nostra Meastra",and the president of the ISCA knows Jim Molino, and gave him his award in OK when the Candyman won the 77 Championship in the circuit, and Bob said he remembers my roadster, and will try to find the magazines it was in.
This car is from the Oakland/Pittsburg/Antioch California area.
I am praying that he has the built sheet, and he said that he removed the 427/400 to install the stroked DZ engine, and the rare 6x2 X1 intake w/the 6 custom Holley 2 barrels.Wouldn't that be AWESOME if he still had the BB,or knew where it went?Man.....

I was going to sale this car,or trade it,but guess,I will keep it now.Kind cool old car,and it appears all the previos owners were some kinda misfits, and I say that w/the utmost respect,so I guess, she is home here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
DB...where are you????You are a wiz on these computers.Whip up some pics,and a clip from the movie.PLEASE!!!
The ISCA was in OK,and for some reason???....they destroyed all the old records. It is in MI now,and Bob is the president.
Thanks again DB.....back to work......

I have a '73 4 speed car that I want to build in a similar style. I have a set of 10" wide Ansen Sprints to go on it and am looking for some flares but will probably just run them sticking out like this car. I know a lot of people don't like that look but to me, it just screams '70s street freak.
