It doen't say much for you leader when he says on national TV that he would not give another consession when management is in Washington asking for a taxpayers bailout loan. I am sure that most of you Union guys are decent citizens but your leadership is corrupt. And I can say the same about Management. If it was just a fight between youselves I would not have such a strong opinion but the collective between Comnpany and Labor is now getting into my pocket.

At any rate, let's not blame the manufacturers for the sins of the dealers.

As usual any argument has 2 sides to a story.............now blame the dealer ??? c'mon you are talking about a limited amount of Shelby's produced " A SPECIALTY ITEM" the dealer has to eat too, he gives almost everything he sells away, & has an oppertunity to make money for once & you call it a sin ? They are a business just like any other. If something you have commands more money then another item, that is called "CAPITALISM" sell if for whatever you can get. I'm ceratin had it been a Ford Focus or an explorer you would have gotten & huge discount......So i'm assuming you think that a new 2009 ZR1 should be sold at invoice ..............GIMME A BREAK !!!!

As most do and there in lies the problem, in my opinion. You have a 30 year veteran making $XX.XX an hour. Given his whole life learning the business and dedicated to the same company and a new hire starts out and makes the same $XX.XX an hour??? WTH? I'll tell you my story. I was once union for several years. One day I was sitting across the table from a fellow employee that had been with the company 37 years. I had been there for 5 at the time. We made the same wage per hour. I put myself in his shoes and asked myself how I would feel about that in 32 years for some young punk to come in and be making the same wage per hour. It made absolutely no sense to me. I changed jobs. I feel you should be paid based on merit, not based on what everyone else makes in the business. I am not anti union. I just don't agree with their purpose

I guess i should have clarified that the new guy has to be qualified and be able to do the job.Like say iron worker, you must pass a test and know how to do iron work, its the same in the other trades. But when it comes to labor work most of them get paid the same. There are different rates of pay according to what you know or your trade.Where i work its 1 through 5 rates of pay.I am a 3,and i have no problem if someone new comes in and gets a 4 or 5 , he will be qualified to do that job or trade. We have just about every trade there is at my work,we are very diverse.
