It should be on the driver side A-pillar, The last several numbers of the VIN should also be on the engine block pad if the original engine is in the car.
Did you get the title for the car yet? IF you can't find the vin on the piller,........run........... no title, no vin=stolen
yea i got the title but the VIN on it is incorrect. the VIN on the title is 1Z87xxxxxxxxx instead of 1Z37xxxxxxxxx for a coupe. the convertible is 1Z67xxxxxxxxx
i cant get the title corrected without the clerk seeing the vin# on the car.
87 is correct for the body style code on a 1980 Corvette. It changed with the 78 models. VIN tag is on the driver's winshield post and visible from outside the car. VIN is also on a tag on the driver's door visible when you open the door.
Code 67 for convertibles was discontinued after the '75 model year.
