Getting the gaps right
Just curious, I have a faded red C4 that's getting repainted black. Also did the bodyshop have to add new shims or did they make due with what the car came with? Your paintjob looks great!

I gave them some extra shims, new hinge pins, and door springs I got off of eBay to put on the car.
The car was already red, so all they had to do was spray the jambs and hood edges to blend in with the old paint. The Torch Red was very close to the color that was on the car already.
They sprayed the hood edges and headlight buckets, then sprayed the whole car, then went back and sprayed the door jambs.
I don't have the car yet, so I don't know what it looks like with all the trim and chrome on it.
I have a complette set of weatherstripping that I will be puting on the car, when I re-do the interior.
The time it will take me to re-do the interior and detail the engine bay and suspension should give the paint time to cure before I take it out in public.
There is a car show in Birmingham in February. Maybe I can sabotage one of the club member's cars, and get Raquel in the show!

I am now restoring a chassis for her. I know it is backwards, but I had to take advantage of the storm damage and get the body painted first. Once the chassis is done, the interior will be last.
The original frame is trashed. I am picking up a partially restored frame and body from a guy that has lost interest.
