Default 68 Interior Lights

I recently purchased a 68 convertable and in the process of some interior restoration noticed two sockets which I suspect are for courtesy lights. One socket is located on the passenger side floor right below th vent by the speaker kick panel and the other is in the back behind the driver seat under the convertable deck lid. Both sockets are just hanging with no evident mounting location. Can someone fill in the blanks for me as to where the actual locations of 68 convertable interior light mounting is supposed to be?

Thanks in advance

The passenger compartment sockets clip into brackets on the lower outside corners of the dash panels. The rear one clips into a bracket bolted to the left deck lid hinge spring tower.

Thanks for the response.... Are there any other interior courtesy lights or are these the only two?

Just the two up front and the one in the rear area.

Sorry to keep asking, but where is the other one in the front? None of my interior lights work so I am having a difficult time not only locating them, but putting them where they belong.

Thanks again

Default 68's

Don't remember if it was on this site or another, however if was discovered that not all 68's had the same location for the passenger side. My 68's was in one location and someone elses was in a different location. Mine is a original owner, so I know it is where it was positioned when the car left the factory.

Can anyone post pics or another reference source to help me position/locate these interior lights?

Thanks

My 68's driver side light is attached to the tripometer reset cable bracket.
The passenger side attaches to the side of the heater box. The attachment point is about midway of the floor board. There should be a screw hole in the side of the heater box for the light bracket.

The rear compartment light attaches to the driver side convertible deck lid hinge.

Anybody got a pic of the Driver side. Mine in missing. Just cut wires...I guess the bracket broke and they got tired of jacking with it, so they cut it off.

If the brackets are still there, then there will be about a 5/8 hole for the socket mount.

My 68 has the socket mounted on the same bracket as the trip odometer as per the above post, but the pass side bracket was missing. I picked one up at a Vette yard (can't remember what year, but it looks identical to the driver's side) and it mounts under the dash just left of the Astro vent. Probably not correct, but it works & it was all I could find at the time

SUCCESS!!!
I have found all three brackets and bulb holders. Now, can anyone tell me the correct type of bulbs that go in each of the three receptacles?

Thanks again

Default different locations

My original owner 68 convertible built in FEB 68 has the passenger side interior light mounted right next to the flasher holder on the lower right side of the dash panel and just to the left of the Astro ventilation and is not mounted to the heater box.
