Default 1978 Pace Car # 4407. I have some documentation.

I was just going through some old boxes here at the dealership and found a sale order for this car. 78 Pace Car # 4407. It shows the price and date sold with 3.4 miles on it. Dated 6-24 of 79. I would be glad to forward this document to the current owner for no charge. Just prove it's your car and it's yours.

I also found the original window stickers for 79 Corvette VIN # 9S435541 Black on Black L48 auto.

Also window sticker for 80 Corvette VIN # AS432574 Red / Black L82 / Auto.

Hopefully I can find a home for these.

Tom

These cars got passed around from dealer to dealer. It's hard to say how many hands it may have gone through before this order I have was generated. I remember BUD telling stories of hauling these things all over the USA on trailers from show to show and from dealer to dealer.

If I remember correctly back then the dealers were getting over window for them and the "collectors" of that era were paying , but they still wanted a deal, hence a few of the cars sat untill the proper a$$ was willing to pony up, we sold a number of them that we got from other dealers with no market for them, yep, a few did sit around . I didnt sell 'em, I worked in the parts dept. Peace,,,Moosie

There's still a few 78 Pace Cars out there that are still on the MSO, so technically STILL not sold!

So technically, the first retail owner would still be entitled to the full GM factory warranty correct?

Sorry but usually they a have 2 year clause in the warranty. Which means if the dealer doesnt sell it in the first two years the warranty is not valid.
