Default Thanks & Goodbye

Well it's official. As of this morning, After 13 years, I am no longer a Corvette owner. Due to some health issues I just don't drive much anymore. It seemed kind of silly to keep a car out in the garage just to go out and look at it every couple of weeks. Dropping it off this morning was a long sad ride but the thought of someone new carrying on the tradition cheered me up. I didn't post that much, But when I did, You folks were there with much appreciated answers. I thank all of you for helping me out whenever I had a Corvette crisis over the past couple of years. I wish all of you the best.
Take care & Drive safe
Mark

Hey Mark -I hope you sold the car to someone who knows how to take care of your old car. And I'm hoping you told the new owner about Corvette forum. You're right- there is a lot of knowledge right here, and you'd be doing the new owner a GREAT favour by telling him about it.
So anyway - here's to you for giving that old vette of yours a really good home for 13 years

Mark,
Not good to hear of the reason why you had to give up the car but you should take comfort in the fact that someone else will now know some of the joys of Corvette ownership that you have known.
You may no longer have the car but you will always have the memories and you still have this forum and your Corvette buddies. You can always drop in here when you have the inclination to do so.
Best of luck with your health, (that 's more important than anything) and have a happy holiday.
Kurt

Age and poor health can do these things. But health is more important than a piece of fiberglass and steel. And that's all a Corvette is when you get right down to it. I wish you well!

Mark, sorry to hear you'll be leaving us. You should stop in every now and then just to catch up...and who knows...maybe you'll see your car around on these pages.

He, did you happen to mention to the buyer to sign up for a membership here?

Sorry to hear you hand to give up your Corvette due to some health issues. I bet that was tough. I hope you have some friends in your area who will come by and take you for a ride in their Vettes from time to time. I know it's not the same, but it's just great being around them and the people who drive them. If you can't find anyone in your area to give you a ride... Just look me up if you're ever in Dallas TX and we'll cruise the town in mine.
BTW, Don't say bye to the corvetteforum, only to your car. I'm sure we would all still love to hear from you. So don't forget to drop by sometimes.
I wish you the very best !

Best wishes. We will all have to make that decision one day. As an earlier poster said, we are all all just temporary custodians of our cars. Hopefully they will still be around to give someone else pleasure long after we have enjoyed them.

You don't have to give up the Corvette Forum though. Stick around. there is still some interesting stuff that goes on here.

Mark,
May health and happiness be yours always. Please continue to drop in from time to time as you can and say hello. No need to leave, you are family. You may not have a Corvette in your garage any longer; but as we all hope you will always carry a warm spot in your heart for the Great American Sports Car.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season.
Best regards,
David
