Default Spoiler

I'm pretty new to the corvette club. But I'm reading books and post on this forum and learnign alot. I'm redoing my 76 and I was just wondering if there is a small spoiler (if u even call it a spoiler) that was made or will fit onto my 76. I have seen them on other C3's .Or are they only have the luggage rack. Thanks for help Todd

The 1978-79 Pace Car spoiler will fit. This is my former 1979 L-82.

As I need to replace my rear bumper on my `76 anyway due to the waves in the urethane, I am going to move to the 80's style with the integrated spoiler. I just think it looks so much better. Maybe even drop a little wing onto it to. Generally I think wings look stupid, but the one on my C4 is subtle, and really sets the car apart I think.

Bump to the top for you- maybe someone will post some interesting pictures.

This is what came on my 77 when I bought it. I am going to keep it instead of going back to the 77 version.

All C3s have a chin spoiler to aid with cooling. http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort
The stock spoiler has nothing to do with the presence of an optional luggage rack.

Are you wanting to replace your stock spoiler, or add an aftermarket item?

The 76 assembly instruction manual (AIM) will have a diagram showing the factory installation of the stock spoiler.

Corvette Central has 3 or 4 spoilers to choose from. I bought the Terbo wing. Easy to install. Check them out. Mail@corvettecentral.com, Fax: 800-635-4108, Phone: 800-345-4122

The '80-'82 rear bumper cover has a small spoiler and is a popular conversion. It will fit your '76 with minor modifications to the tail light brackets and rear reinforcement. Similar to the silver car above, just a different brand.

This is a fiberglass version of the '80 to '82 bumper cover from ACI.

The 1980 rear look was one of my favourites. Good luck. Don't forget the cost of attachment fasteners and paint. Can get costly.
