Keisler???
I seriously doubt if you are going to see prices drop next year. I may be wrong but I'll bet they stay the same or go up slightly. If I am looking to buy something and I see a sale I will usually snap it up now instead of waiting.

These conversions are expensive, but keisler has a fair price, and this really is ultimately...."for fun".Whether it's golf, die cast collectibles,or big cars.....it's a hobby that costs money.

Your car will love you for this!
Merry Christmas!
) maybe we will see additional reductions.

We have been working very hard to provide you the excellent service and product at a fair price.
About price ... Tremec has raised the cost of goods nearly $250 since Oct 1. Retail price didn't go up as much, and the distributors got the squeeze. Add to that the cost of everything has gone up - labor, fuel, materials, overhead, etc. plus banks are not loaning money - this adds up to a tough deal for everyone.
I personally asked Tremec for price concessions during these hard times, such as a deferment on the price increase, or rebate coupons. They would not, could not for unspecified reasons and we understand - they are trying to get as much cash as they can to survive with GM/Ford/Chrysler - their biggest customers - down more than 50%.
Personally, I don't expect prices to ever come down, at least with Tremec. There is no real competition or other reason for them to adjust pricing. They want to make as much profit as the next guy - you can't blame them. These transmissions have gone up a lot over the past 5 years, and I mean a lot. To offset cost increases, we had to become extremely lean and efficient - like everyone else. We put in barcoding, LEAN inventory, Just In Time production, and cut our inventory by more than 50%, and turn product 5x more than over previous years. These are the only reasons we can hold the line on price, PLUS offer the BLOCK BUSTER sale with savings of $400 or more.
Even without the sale, Keisler PerfectFit Tremec TKO remains the least expensive option to put a new TKO into a classic Vette '55-88.
We are working on a new PerfectFit kit using the in-house remanufactured and fully customized Borg Warner T45 - which we call the T45 RS. We are installing it now to a '71 Corvette coupe, factory 4-speed car. If successful as a Perfect Fit as we have already done with other classic cars and the T45 RS, it will be a great lower cost alternative. You can visit the News page under Community here to learn more about the T45 RS. Just remember, it's not a done deal, and we are not selling them as a PerfectFit for Corvette - yet.
So ... break out the piggy bank, count your pennies and get a deposit in by 12-31. This will be the best driving improvement to your Corvette.

Great question. The major drawback is that there is presently no close ratio option - only the street ratios. For a small block or mild big block, this is fine. For wild engines with limited power band and deep ratio diff (3.90, 4.10, etc), the first gear will finish up by say 25mph and the driver may wish they had a taller first gear.
But, it is what it is - a tough 82mm centers distance 5-with 6-speed quality silkly shifts, fully sychronized incl reverse, well suited gearing for most small block and mild big blocks - all at an affordable price.
