Default setting up the C3 Vert on jackstands???

I intend to set up the 74 on jackstands to get some work done. I also will keep the hardtop in place to reduce the chance of body flex. Again it has been so long since I've worked on the C3, what is your opinion on how long I could keep the Vert on the jackstands and not have any body flex problems if any??? The Vette is a hour away from me, so I may not get out there every weekend like I would want to.
List of things to do, include most of the suspension, front and rear, and check the gas tank and lines for leaks, and do the brakes, so it would be up in the air for some time. Any thoughts are appreciated.
thanks.................................. ............Tom

I've had my '74 big-block 'vert up on jackstands for nearly a year before, with no problems. I place the front jackstands under the swaybar frame mounts and the rears (more conventionally) on the rear part of the frame in front of the rear tire. With this configuration, I have no problem opening the doors, hood, top, etc. And I don't bother with bolting in the hardtop.

Don't worry about it. If your frame is in decent shape, not a pile of rust it will be fine. I had mine up on stands for a long time. Mine is currently on my 2 post lift and it is a lot closer together than the jack stands ever were. No problem doing this.

Had mine sitting like this for 6 months.

Rock solid, could smash away with hammers etc. Could open doors no problems.

Just make sure you buy decent Jack stands and not cheap crap. Makes a huge difference. I've seen cars fall off stands just cause the person skimped a few bucks, my brother is a prime example, he now has stands the same as mine!

You can kinda see here where the front ones were. It'll make sense as soon as you jack up your car.
