The gun laws seem to be a little different in the Lone Star State then they are for us New Yawkus.
Yes they are. Deadly force is justified for possessions as well as life. Castle law: we don't have to retreat; act threatening, especially at night, on someone's property and you may be legally killed. It has happened & the property owners have been either not charged or no billed. You Don't Mess With Texas!
Since I've no room in my single-car garage, I keep my '81 just outside the door with a car cover and motion lights. I really think potential thieves are put off by car covers!

you can live in Canada.
were 25+ year old corvette are rarely on the menu, mainly because they assume it doesn't work.
and in winter there is no chance of them getting it past the drive way, let alone starting it.
the best way is to have very little gas or no gas. that way you force them to bring gas, or think twice about filling it up at the gas station. lol just joking.
gas is cheap now $.66/litre or $2.50/gallon
How do you protect your Vette from theft when it is at your home ?
I live in a country with very little crime problems. I also live far away (high in the mountains) from the little crime we. But I still keep it in a locked garage, with the windows covered up.
But i worry a lot about "my precious" when I am out driving, and have to leave it for a short time.... I would be very greatfull if any of you would like to share some of your tricks with me (some of you mentioned som electric switches??? Have a -71)

Yes it is! Same goes for Florida and a number of other states. Most of these states also have reciprocy agreements with the other states that do not cater to the criminal. The more conservative the state is (or has been), the more they respect law abiding citizens rights.

This Huge Sporting goods store, Edelmans, on the Nassau/Suffolk county border on Rt 110 catered to gun owners and used to give away bumper stickers that read "IF GUNS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS" Another of there bumper stickers said "MAKE LOVE, NOT WAR BUT BE PREPARED FOR BOTH"
Needless to say Edelmans has been gone for along time.
I'm trying to come up with a way to hook a taser up to either the steering wheel or shifter ****, that can be armed/disarmed by remote. Use your imagination.
I`m a big fan of tasers...wanted a couple for Christmas
you know for kid control.
Love the idea of someone shocking themselves while trying to take your possessions.
Oh yea need a cam setup to catch all the action. Maybe someone to be a test dummy.
I protect mine wiht Hagerty insurance and a locked garage. As others have said, if a theif wants my car, I don't think there's anything anyone can do to stop them.
