Default Doubt the Mustang fan is a Mark VIII fan...

Here's the fan that I bought NEW:

1998 Mark VIII fan,
part numbers RF-64 and/or F8LH-8C607-AA

I got from autopartsgiant; they're selling for $227.66 right now, but remember it's brand new.

Here's thread discussing the Mark VIII fan:

yeah i read all those already. i was looking for pictures of the unit outside the car to make sure i get the right one. i also found threads that say that the taurus fan with the angled edge fan shroud fits even better. at least with those its easier to get a visual.

Not that fan, particularly, but that size and style fits on C3 corvette's very nicely. Very little to trim, cut to make it fit.

Add: just make sure it a 2 speed fan unit.

that particular one says it comes with relays, switchs, solenoids etc, might not be a bad one to go with.

if no one can see a reason why i shouldnt use the one that bigblock tank linked to i think its going to be mine

Of course, that's your choice. I used constant duty solenoids, made my own wiring harness. I didn't read thet ebay link thruout, but if it fits your needs, go for it. I'll look and read again.

I looked at it, looks good. I can't see why he includes a toggle switch, I didn't use one in mine because I'm older, and I forget ****. I rely on relays, and temp sensors, just me.

id love to see some close up pics of how you mounted it, especially any temp senders that connect to the head or block somewhere.

i just bought the fan linked to above and now i just need to figure out how to get it on.

coincidently i just flushed my cooling system with the white vinegar trick and on the backflush it ran dark brown for about 15 minutes. hopefully between the fan and the flush next summer in san antonio wont be so nerve racking to drive in.

You can buy a thermostat housing for a 79 Corvette at AutoZone for ~$8.00 that will have a threaded port for a temp sensor. I used one for my SPAL fan controller and it even barely clears a dropped base air filter.

I'm glad to see someone else is happy with that fan. There for awhile, I thought I was the only one on here that did.

I really like your attachment decision. I just made 4 tabs for each corner, kinda sorta. I am gonna change mine. Can you tell a little more in depth, in PM? Thanks BBTank

Should be driver's side head, exhaust side of the head, I think.

no plug in the drivers side, i looked for quite a while,
these are not the original 454 heads.
they are L36 heads from a 67 427 if that makes a difference.

Old 427 heads (like I have also) don't have the sensor port. Those plugs you show will NEVER come out!

You will have to use an intake port or the thermo housing as stated above
