You say 'cut the center out of yours and glass this one in'?
How do the contours match?
Isn't the Viper hood FAR wider than the Corvette hood?
How much time and ability do you have?
It would be an interesting look.
Your Corvette might 'reject' the hood like a person's body does with some 'transplants'.
Regards,
Alan
before I spend the money for that viper hood, I would take a junk 82 hood and rebuild it from scratch. Fiberglass is pretty easy to work and and i'm sure you could fab something up.
Just get some of that sculpting foam and shape something into the stock hood and glass over that. Something like that.
there's better ways to do it than cutting in a totally different hood.

Agreed ! What I'ld do, remove the hood, cover the engine compartment in cardboard from side to side, tape fender edges well, fill area with foam, scult the hood you want, don't like it, add foam do again. Pop cardboard out with your new hood, lay fiber glass over foam, dig foam out. Now you have a splash mold. Sand inside smooth, wax 3-4 times, lay fiberglass in splash mold, you now have a new hood. Few more detailed steps but that's the basics. I believe there is someone building a custom int. with good pics, do a search, it's basically the same.
