Default 72 shoulder harness question

Are the sholder harness part of the seat belt different left to right? There are 7 GM NOS in the box on fleabay that appear to be a good deal ($100) but they are all the same.

When I priced having mine done over the price was a lot more then this.

I am pretty sure they are the same side to side.

Hopefully someone else can confirm this for you.

I believe they are the same...at least, I couldn't tell any difference in them when I had them out. They had the same belt I.D. info on the tags. Anyway, $100 for all of them sounds like one heck of a deal, even if it is for just one side. Shoulder belts for '70-'72 are tough to find.

I have a '73 and mine are the same. The seat back trim piece (with the cutout), inside seat back bezel and outside seat back bezel are opposite for each side. I recently did the shoulder belts through the seat back. I think shoulder belts were an option for verts for my year.

I have a 72 and bought the correct shoulder belts a while back. Just haven't taken the time to install. Wondered if the the reinforcements are in the rear floor, with the captive nut / welded nut? thanks

I believe the nuts are on all cars and just covered by the carpet. I only say this because mine didn't have them stock but the brackets are there.

Also, just to be clear it is $100 for each side complete belt but I still think this is a very good deal. They only have black and I need saddle for my 72 but I am going to see if the hardware is in my 70 as that has black interior.

Since the webbing is 'plastic' [nylon], you could easily use vinyl dye....not paint....to re-color them. Just pull the webbing out as far as it will go and mask off what you don't want to color. The ends that are still black will be rolled up on the spool, anyway.

I had my retractors restored and webbing replaced on my 71 by Ssnake Oyl. They did a great job but cost was around $200.00 per side. Yes they are the same on both sides. $100.00 is a steal.
