The VIN # doesn't give you any info on whether its a BB or transmission etc. You have to check the numbers on the pad on the passenger side of the block right by the head.

I would first check to see if the Build Sheet is on top of the gas tank.

Vin#194371S109210

Does your car look something like this?

AHH Sorry I just noticed that its possibly a BB car but has a 350 now. Gas tank build sheet looks like the way to go.

Things like radiator, tach, half-shafts, sway-bars, MIGHT give some clues as to original engine.
Regards,
Alan

PS: I guess if the original engine is gone it doesn't really matter what it once was. You can build it however you'd like.

You are mistaking a numeric 5 for an alpha S. VIN is 194571S109210. S is the plant code for St. Louis.

#9210 should be a late February build.
