i have a white 1979 with blue interior. right now im having a 383 built and when thats done comes plaint. the thing is i think i wanna go with black and i wont be able to redo the interior for a few months after painting. maybe longer...funds are short.
my question is how is black gonna look with my dark blue interior?
does anyone have any pictures of a black vette with dark blue innards?
i tried searching and came up empty handed.
All you need to recolor the interior is a pint of black vinyl dye, spray equipment (or a bottle sprayer), and time. You can change the interior color for less than $100 and some downtime.
As to your question: No, there aren't many black cars with blue interiors...but, so what? It's your car and it will look just fine when you are on the inside! Re-color the interior when you can.
There's nothing wrong with being different. Normal is overrated.
If you like the blue interior, then why change it? If you don't like it, or if it is too overpowering, then maybe just add some black in a little at a time until you either come up with the right amount or eventually change it all. Start with the carpet and go from there.
It's your decision....unless you're married....then it's hers, but you can pretend it's yours. Just kidding.
i knew there wouldnt be many, but i was hoping id see at least 1.
ive thought about dying the interior, i kinda like the blue tho, and i think the black would look good with the blue interior myself. maybe do like yall said and two tone it with some black carpet and other trim.
From: Graceland in a Not Correctly Restored Stingray
Once had a med/dark blue interior in a black dually which I thought looked very nice together. When special ordering it I had to find a special code in order to get it done as the combo wasn't on the sales brochure menu. Yes, I'd do it again, but then I'm partial to blue. Post up w/pics if you go for it.
